Tribute

Cathy Hall Comer, age 64, of Roanoke passed away Monday January 31, 2022 unexpectedly at Lewis Gale Medical Center.

Cathy was the daughter of the late James Wallace Hall and surviving is her mother: Mary Eva Altis Hall. She was born in Virginia and lived in the area all of her life.

Cathy was a graduate of Cave Spring High school and worked as a clerk for many insurance and credit bureaus. When she had time off she enjoyed reading and going to the beach. Cathy was a devoted member at Exalted Church in Roanoke. She always seemed to be thinking of other people and doing good for others as often as she could.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her brother, Mark James Hall.

Cathy is survived by her loving husband  of 38 years: Gene Comer; her mother: Mary Altis Hall of Roanoke, sister and brother-in-law Sheree (David) Lemon of Roanoke, numerous cousins and friends left behind in Roanoke, Myrtle Beach, and Florida, and special friend and cousin Billy Carroll of Roanoke.

A graveside service will be held in Sherwood Memorial Park on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 1:00 pm by Pastor Jim Asberry.

In lieu of flowers and plants memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.
